What’s the process like after I’ve booked?
Once you’re all booked, I will reach out to you personally to chat more about the specifics. We’ll go over all the details from logistics (production team, timeline, preparation, etc.) to creativity (color schemes, what/who inspires you, your target audience, etc.) My goal is to be completely confident in knowing what we need to accomplish and ready to have some fun!
What is your approach when shooting content for brands?
For me, it’s all about capturing your story as a brand. We will have many conversations before the actual shoot to determine what we want to accomplish and make a strategic plan on how we will do so. I believe that, now more than ever, clients/customers want to see relatable content. They don’t want to feel that they are following some automated system but that they have a real life connection with you and your brand. Together, we will create images that allow you and your products to shine while also capturing the substance of who you are.
Will I get all of my photos from our session? Can I get the RAW files? Will I own my photos/what are the usage rights?
The amount of finalized photos you receive is specific to the package that we have agreed on. For most packages, within 7 days of our shoot, you will receive an online gallery of all the proofs! From there, you will be able to pick the photos that you would like retouched.
As for the RAW files, I do not give them out unless you’re willing to purchase them at a high cost! The gallery of proofs that you receive after our session will not contain the RAW files nor be downloadable, they are simply for viewing purposes only. You will receive the photos one they are retouched and those will be downloadable, high-res, and ready for usage!
The short answer is no! I will always own the rights to my photos (unless bought out) and am giving you permission to use them. Usage rights gets more specific when working with brands but as for portraits or headshots, I usually give full usage rights so that you can use them forever!
More about me?
Here’s a quick look into how I got here!
Born and raised in the Bronx, I recently decided to leave everything I had behind and move out to the West Coast. Moving to California has been something I’ve wanted for a very long time and so I feel so grateful to be here. But anyway! I have been an artist for most of my life. I studied Musical Theatre in high school and college so I was constantly immersed in creativity and storytelling. It was through watching others tell their stories that I felt the need to capture them differently and to help those stories reach a broader audience. Flash forward to junior year of college and something clicked… Photography wasn’t about someone dressing up and sitting in front of the camera.. it is about what happens during the “breath in between”…It’s in these raw moments that stories are told. We all know that being in front of a camera is one of the most vulnerable situations a person can be in. So those moments in between, the breath that someone takes to refocus, the different shapes that our bodies naturally make, the inner dialogue, the fluidity in the moments before and after you pose… the being. I believe that photographs are meant to tell a story and it is my goal to tell that story as beautifully as possible. I am here to bring your visions to life while honoring and empowering you, your story, and your journey. Thanks so much for being here and I’m so excited to work together.
